Event Details Parent-Child Dedication Ceremony Back to Calendar Parent-Child Dedication follows the example set in the Bible of Mary and Joseph bringing Jesus to the temple for His dedication. Luke 2:21-40. Parent-Child Dedication is a time for parents to publicly commit themselves to raise their child in the training and instruction of the Lord. Through this special service, parents announce before God, family, and friends their commitment. To participate in the Parent-Child Dedication Ceremony we have designed a short class for our parents to discuss the day of the Parent-Child Dedication. It is also a time to communicate Central Christian Church’s views on the importance of a Biblical family. Attendance is required in this class to participate in the ceremony.
